Locke & Key : Issue # 2: Welcome To Lovecraft by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez
I really enjoyed this comic. I love Bode's imagination! Interesting that in the comic they are living in Lovecraft, Massachusetts which fits well with the themes of the comic.

The Forgotten Home Child by Genevieve Graham
What an excellent read!! I instantly fell in love with the characters and was caught up in their story. There were many parts which left me breathless. Before reading this novel I had been completely unaware of British Home Children. The author's notes and pictures at the end of the book were greatly appreciated. I would definitely read more books by this author.

Pumpkinheads by Rainbow Rowell and Faith Erin Hicks
The artwork in this graphic novel is so colorful and detailed. I love the map of the Pumpkin Patch found in the book. I loved the story and that it took place all in one crazy night. It was a heartfelt and sweet story. I hope that Rainbow and Faith will write other graphic novels together!

The Gown: A Novel of the Royal Wedding by Jennifer Robson
I absolutely adored this book! The characters were very well developed and relatable. I loved how the different timelines were woven together. The author paints such a vivid picture that I felt I was experiencing everything along with the characters. I will definitely read more books by this author!
Stranger Still by Michaelbrent Collings
I devoured this book! The author is excellent at getting into the psyches of his characters. Sheldon's narcissistic inner monologues were hilarious because they were so over the top. The twists kept me guessing. Legion is such a multifaceted character which makes him even more interesting. The action was fast paced and engaging. I really like that this book can be read as a standalone but I am interested reading Strangers the first book in the series as well.

Ten Days Gone (A.L McKittridge #1) by Beverly Long
A decent police procedural with interesting character development and an intriguing premise. It was a really slow burn with most of the action taking place close to the end of the story. I wish that there had been at least some chapters or scenes from the killer's point of view in order to add suspense. I like Rena and A.L enough to want to read further stories featuring them.

What Kind of Girl by Alyssa Sheinmel
An excellent read which explores the impact of physical abuse on the two main characters, the abuser, their families and their school. I really enjoyed how earlier chapter titles are based on aspects of the two main characters' personalities and identities It was nice to see how the growth of both characters by the end of the story. This is the second novel I have read by the author and I look forward to reading more.
