Uncultured: A Memoir by Daniella Mestyanek Young

I greatly admire the author's courage to share all that she experienced while being part of The Children of God and her time in the military. It's wonderful that Mestyanek Young has begun to learn how to heal from her trauma and her own innate value.

The Prisoner by B.A. Paris

I loved this intense thriller! I really enjoyed that this story was told entirely from Amelie's point of view because I admired her courage and strength. The ending took me entirely by surprise. Very well done.

I'm The Girl by Courtney Summers

I'm the Girl by [Courtney Summers]

I loved this book! Georgia is a very relatable character because her desire to lead a life of wealth and privilege is one shared by many. As the story progresses the layers are peeled away to show the darkness beneath all of the glitch and glamor. The truth of what is actually going on is really shocking. Very well done.

Until The End (Final Friends #1-3) by Christopher Pike

Another excellent series by Christopher Pike! I really enjoyed following this group of characters throughout all three books because it really helped to better understand their thoughts and motivations. Very well done.

Lucky Girl. How I Became A Horror Writer: A Krampus Story by M. Rickert

 56300737. sy475

A darkly entertaining Christmas horror novella! The joyousness of the season contrasted nicely with the story's darker elements. The twists were ones that I didn't see coming. The ending was very unnerving.

The Last Housewife by Ashley Winstead

 59490886. sy475

I loved this dark thriller! There were many parts which were hard to read because they were so visceral but I read on because I was transfixed by Shay's story. I loved the journey she went on as she learned more about herself and found her strength. The true crime podcast interviews between Shay and Jamie were a nice touch. I won't say anything more because I want to avoid spoilers.

I really enjoyed this thought provoking read! The technology in 2038 and all of the cultural shifts were endlessly fascinating. This book was really well done.
