My Roommate Fron Hell by Cale Dietrich

 

 I loved this very entertaining and fun YA romcom. I loved that one of the main characters was a demon. Owen and Zarmenus are great characters so it made it easy to care about them. This book was a real page-turner.

I loved this romcom with a twist! Adam and Carly were easy to care about. I love stories with time loops so I was hooked right away. Very well written and fun to read! This book was impossible to put down.

The Perfect Hosts by Heather Gudenkauf

 

  This book was a lot of fun to read! I loved the characters, the setting, and the twists. This thriller kept me guessing throughout and was very suspenseful. Very well plotted and well written. This read was impossible to put down.

Final Cut by Olivia Worley

 

I really enjoyed this fun and suspenseful read! I'm a slasher movie fan so this book was right up my alley. The characters were well developed and it was easy to care about what happened to them. There was a lot of suspense and misdirection. Every time I thought I had guessed the killer's identity, I was wrong. I loved the ending! This is one book you won't be able to put down.

The Graceview Patient by Caitlin Starling

 

 I enjoyed the first half of this book , but the second half was very confusing. I understand trying to convey Margaret's deteriorating physical and mental state, but I'd hope for an explanation by the end of the book. Instead no answers were given and the ending is open ended. Leaving it up to the reader to draw their own conclusions.

Wheel of Blood and Magic: Book One of the Blood and Magic Series by Grace Pevear

 

 I loved this exciting and suspenseful read! I was hooked from the first page. Great world building. It was easy to root for the main characters and to hate the villains. I was confused a couple of times about a character's identity due to the time jumps, but it made sense later on. Great cliffhanger ending. I can't wait for book two!

The Second Chance Cinema by Thea Weiss

 

 I loved everything about this book from the compelling characters, setting and the concept of the cinema! Ellie and Drake's relationship is very true to life and relatable. The story is engaging and very well written. Thea Weiss writes like a seasoned pro. This is a read that's impossible to put down!

No Rest For The Wicked by Rachel Louise Adams

 

 I loved this twist-filled and suspenseful read! I really enjoyed the final reveal of the answers to the two central mysteries of the story. There was a fair amount of misdirection which kept things interesting. This book was impossible to put down!

Inventor: A Violet Sky Short Story by Collin Irish

 

 I really enjoyed this story! There was a lot of suspense and the twist at the end was shocking. This entry in the series successfully built on what had occurred in the previous book and short story.

The Wrong Daughter by Dandy Smith

 

 I loved this twist-filled and suspenseful read! It was very easy to sympathize the main characters. The intricate plot was expertly woven together by Dandy Smith and the ending was jaw dropping. This book was impossible to put down.

One Dark Night by Hannah Richell

 

 I loved this twisty and suspenseful read! The setting influenced how the story evolved. Hannah Richell is a master at weaving a complex tale which will keep readers guessing. This is one book that can't be missed!

High Season by Katie Bishop

 

 I loved this heartbreaking and suspenseful read! Dual timelines kept things interesting and helped to flesh out the story. I loved that there were chapters told from the perspective of a true crime vlogger. There were jaw dropping twists towards the end. This book was a real page- turner.

Woven From Clay by Jenny Birch

 

  I loved this moving, exciting, and emotional read! The evolving dynamic between the main characters was fun to explore. The intersection between the real world and the fantasy world made the story very compelling. It was easy to care about the characters and to root for them. I loved the twists at the end of the book!

The Carpool Detectives: A True Story of Four Moms, Two Bodies and One Mysterious Cold Case by Chuck Hogan

 

  I loved this harrowing story of four moms who solved a double a murder. It's a true crime book which reads like a thriller. I enjoyed getting to know the four women and finding out how they cracked the case. Incredibly well done!

The Bewitching by Silvia Moreno-Garcia

 

 This story was exciting, heartbreaking, and full of twists. I loved how past and present were woven together. Moreno-Garcia is very adept at creating an eerie atmosphere which gradually builds throughout the book. This read will grab you and won't let go until you've turned the final page.

The Lake Escape by Jamie Day

 

 I loved this cleverly plotted, suspenseful, and engaging read! Every time I thought that I had everything figured a new twist was thrown my way. This novel is one that you won't be able to put down.

What Happened to the McCrays? by Tracey Lange

 

 I loved this moving, heartbreaking and beautiful book! The story alternated between past and present which gave the reader a clearer understanding of the dynamic between the main characters. It was nice to see how the characters changed between the start of the story and the end. The characters were so compelling that it was easy to care about them. This is one read that's impossible to put down.

This Is Where We Die by Cindy R.X. He

 

 I loved this suspenseful, tension-filled and action-packed read! The shifting dynamic between the eight friends and the isolated setting created an atmosphere of dread. The author excelled at creating complex characters and delving into their psyches. I loved all of the twists and the ending! This book was a real page-turner.

I Hear You: Jonny Mendez #2 by Andre Gonzalez

 

 Another excellent action packed, suspenseful and exciting book in the Jonny Mendez series!!! Andre Gonzalez does a deep dive into Jonny's psyche allowing the reader to gain a deeper understanding of Jonny's thoughts and motivations. Surprising twists which take the story in an entirely new direction which keeps the reader guessing. This book grabs the reader and doesn't let go.

Shaw Connolly Lives To Tell by Gillian French

 

I loved this suspenseful and fast paced read! Full of fascinatingly complex characters who leapt off the page. I felt a lot of sympathy for the Connolly family...especially Shaw. I loved each time a piece of the puzzle was snapped into place! There were plenty of twists which kept me guessing. Very well done.  

 

Homecoming: Staycation #3 by RJ Clark

 

 Reading this book was like being in a runaway mine car in a cavern full of twists, turns, and darkness. You don't know where you'll end up but hope you'll remain unscathed. There weren't any dull moments in this story. I loved the many different settings. The ending was outstanding! I can't say enough good things about it.

The Bachelorette Party by Camilla Sten

 

 I loved this intricately plotted and highly suspenseful read. The isolated setting heavily contributed to a sense of foreboding throughout the entire story. I loved that there were so many unexpected twists both in the past and the present because it made the story even more exciting.

Soul Machine by Jordana Globerman

 

 I enjoyed this graphic novel but I sometimes felt bogged down by the exploration of so many deep topics such as the nature of human connection, what constitutes a soul, and the search for identity. I wanted to enjoy the story at face value. I loved the artwork, the sisterly bond between Lacey and Chloe, and the twists.

 

 

The Ascent by Allison Buccola

 

 This book was very suspenseful with a lot of twists. Every time I thought I had everything figured out, I found out I was wrong. I found the main character to be very sympathetic and complex. I couldn't put this book down!

All My Darkest Impulses (House of Crows #1) by Lisa Unger

 

  I loved the characters, the setting and the pervasive spooky atmosphere throughout the story. This story ended on a cliffhanger. I look forward to reading book 2!

 

Heart of the Sun by Mia Sheridan

 

 I loved this action packed sci fi romance! I admire the tenacity, strength and resiliency of the main characters as they navigated a changed world. There were many suspenseful and harrowing moments throughout the story which made it impossible to put down.

 

Scorned: Twisted Tales of Familiar Faces by Z.S. Diamanti

 

 I loved every minute of this creepy Hercules retelling! I find Greek mythology fascinating so I was on board right away! I loved finding out more about Hercules and found this story very entertaining.

 

Out of Air by Rachel Reiss

 

I loved this outstanding action packed YA adventure! Vivid and detailed descriptions allowed me to feel immersed in the underwater world. The characters seemed to leap off the page. Numerous twists were a wonderful surprise!

 This book was very moving and heartbreaking! Ryan White and his family worked tirelessly to educate the public about AIDS. Ryan touched so many lives and his impact will live on forever.

Dethroning Oz: Twisted Tales of Familiar Faces by Audrey Brice

 

 An imaginative horror retelling of The Wizard of Oz! Very fast paced with many surprising twists. This book is delightful and entertaining.

Pride or Die by CL Montblanc

 

I loved this suspenseful, fun read that was full of heart! The shocking twists were masterfully executed. This is one book that can't be missed!

 

Eleven Percent by Maren Uthaug

 

 I loved this imaginative dystopian read! It's essentially an inverse Handmaid's Tale which makes for a rich and fascinating world. I was immediately captivated by this story and its multifaceted characters.

 I loved every minute of this dark and crazy ride of a book! This read is definitely not for the faint of heart. A highly original and fiendish take on Rapunzel.

Steamboat: Twisted Tales of Familiar Faces by Courtney Konstantin

 

 I loved this deeply unsettling horror retelling of Steamboat Willie! Vivid descriptions of the grotesque Steamboat Willie are true nightmare fuel. Numerous twists made this book even more harrowing. This is one read that can't be missed!

 

Into The Woods by Jenny Holiday

 

This book was a joy to read! There were parts which made me laugh out loud! It was the perfect blend of humor, drama and romance! Jenny Holiday really takes the reader on a journey into the psyches of Gretchen and Teddy! I loved these characters! The ending was perfect!

 

 

Ruth Run by Elizabeth Kaufman

 

 I have really mixed feelings about this book. Ruth is complex, funny, smart and fascinating. It was fun to read of her adventures while she was on the run. I didn't really find Mike that compelling at all. I found the middle of the book a real slog to get through. I wish that Mike had pursuing Ruth more on the ground instead of from afar. The ending wasn't bad.

The Gods Time Forgot by Kelsie Sheridan Gonzalez

 

I loved this intoxicating romantic fantasy!! This story is set in New York during the gilded age which made this book even more exciting! Detailed descriptions coupled with Irish Mythology is like nothing I have read in the past. Engaging from start to finish.

Arturius: Twisted Tales of Familiar Faces by A.K. Hughey

 

 An imaginative retelling of the King Arthur legend. It's a slow burn but stick with it because of the twist ending! Very well done.

The Wildest Things by Andrea Hannah

 

I loved this dark Snow White retelling! Many elements of the classic fairy tale are present while others are cleverly altered. This book is full of action and suspense which keeps the reader eagerly turning the page.

White Line Fever by KC Jones

 

 This story was horrifying, action packed, and suspenseful. The imagery was very visceral while also containing an emotional core. Jones expertly delves into the psyches of her characters which made me care about their predicament. The twists were inventive and exciting! This book holds the reader in its icy grip and doesn't let go.

Grimmworld: The Big Bad Wolf ( Grimmworld 2) by Michaelbrent Collings

 

 Reading this outstanding book was like being on a fun adventure! This read is the perfect blend of action, drama and suspense. Collings has once again expertly crafted a story which grabs the reader and doesn't let go.

The Unlucky Ones: Black Harbor #4 by Hannah Morrissey

 

 I really wanted to like this book. I was hoping that I would be able to get into it despite not having read the other books in the series. I liked the main characters and I enjoyed the setting. I found the story uninteresting so I couldn't get into it. It was well written.

Quixote: Twisted Tales of Familiar Faces by Stephen Wertzbaugher

 

 I wasn't sure what to expect from this story as I haven't read the original book. I really enjoyed this creepy and tragic novel. It oozed atmosphere and was inventive. I wish there was a little more suspense as the ending was predictable.

 I have mixed feelings about this Paul Bunyan horror retelling. I really liked the characters and the overall menacing nature of the woods. I feel that too much time was spent on describing the role of the lumberjacks and their teams. I enjoyed the ending.
