This slow building, suspenseful, and twist filled read kept my interest all the way through. The action inside the house was mirrored by the storm outside. I really liked that the house had such a storied history. Very well done.

 I loved this suspenseful and intricately plotted read. I was drawn into the search for Kara's killer. Rita's more objective perspective was an interesting counterpoint to Esme's personal perspective. Jaw dropping twists added another exciting dimension to the story.

 This book was impossible to put down! The diversity, backgrounds, and secrets of the people at hostel made them extremely fascinating. The most exciting aspect of the novel was that nothing is as it seems. I loved it so much that I felt sad for it to end.

 I found this suspenseful and intense thriller impossible to put down! I loved being along for the ride during Simone's investigation into her mother's murder. Simone is stubborn, tough, and full of heart which makes her very endearing. The twists were exciting and jaw dropping. An excellent read!

Where He Can't Find You by Darcy Coates

 

  A visceral horror story which really gets under your skin! Not for the faint of heart. There were parts of this story which caused me to feel a real sense of dread. The mythology surrounding the Stitcher really helped ratchet up the tension. There were many twists with a very satisfying finale.

This book was very well written! The characters seemed to jump off the page. It was easy to get caught up not only in their story but also what was taking place in St. Louis. The legal aspects of the novel made it even more engrossing.

When I'm Dead: Black Harbor #3 by Hannah Morrissey

 

Wow, this book was phenomenal! Both the literal and figurative darkness of Black Horror added greatly to this atmospheric read. All of the main characters were wonderfully complex and I enjoyed every minute spent with them. This mystery was expertly plotted which kept me glued to the page. I look forward to reading the first two books.

 I have very mixed feelings about this book. On the one hand I really liked the mystery, the twists and the overall but I strongly disliked the format. I love true crime series but I prefer to watch it instead of reading a teleplay. The instant messages, the emails and the discussion added to the story.

 This book was an exciting thrill ride of read that grabbed me by the throat and never let go! With each mission Arielle, Felix and Selena become more efficient working together. I liked that the setting was a small town because it made the story even more personal. I was completely floored by the final reveal! The ending was really heartfelt! I can't wait to read book 5!

I couldn't turn the pages fast enough to find out what would happen next. This is Kate Anderson's first book. I can't wait to read her next novel!

 I enjoyed this read but I wish that it hadn't taken so long for some thrilling to happen. The neighborhood itself was interesting as well as the people in it. I enjoyed the eclectic cast of characters The last 10% of the book was by far the most exciting.

 This Nordic noir read was outstanding from start to finish! The Icelandic setting and the 80s time period made the story that much more exciting. All of the characters from main to secondary were very well developed. A disappearance which had remained unsolved for 30 years was fascinating! I will end here because I don't want to give anything away. This is one book that you won't be able to put down!

Reading this book reminded me of an much more detailed and nuanced episode of The Twilight Zone. I found the near future Britain of the novel disturbing, appalling and fascinating.  Reading this book was very eye opening as I hadn't really know anything about the German occupation of The Netherlands during WWII. There were many parts which were hard to read because they were so heartbreaking and horrendous. I loved how the bond between friends, family, and citizens was really emphasized. This novel impacted me deeply.

  I loved this Young Adult dystopian read! I really liked the idea of a virus causing people to turn into ghouls. I loved the entire the mythology of the Hollowing. This book was a lot of fun to read and I really enjoyed all of the twists that were thrown in.
