Tell the Ghosts I'm Gone by Kalynn Bayron

 

 

 I loved every moment of this YA horror read! I'm sucker for books that feature an interesting cast of characters who have become a family. The story was vivid, engaging, and creepy at times. I would love to read more books by this author.

 

Precious Children by Mary G. Thompson

 

 

This YA horror book was a very wild ride. I loved the dystopian and science fiction aspects of the story. There was a lot of suspense, action and some parts were very disturbing. The only negative is that I found it difficult to keep the characters straight by the end of the story. Very well written and thought provoking.

72 Hours of You by Darianne Schramm

 

 

I loved this YA romance with a touch of magical realism. The two main characters were complex and I enjoyed watching them grow throughout the story. There were many parts which made me laugh and others that were bittersweet. I could easily see this book being adapted into a movie because it was so well done and moving.

Heart of Glass by Jennifer Hillier

 

 

 Another great read by Jennifer Hillier! I loved the characters, the setting and all of the jaw dropping twists. This book was very suspenseful and captivating, and impossible to put down. The story was well crafted and executed, and I loved every minute of it.

 

Night Songs by Alli Dyer

 

 

 I loved this book from the first page. The characters were varied and interestingly complex. A few twists along the way took the story into an entirely new direction. This book was very well written.

The Women in White by Sarah Pekkanen

 

 

  I loved this suspenseful and twist filled thriller. I was hooked from the moment I read the first page. The dual timelines and multiple points of view kept things interesting. I also loved the quotes shared at the start of each chapter were from real sources. A book by Sarah Pekkanen never disappoints.

The Story Keeper by Kelly Rimmer

 

 

 This book was exceptional! So well written and captivating. Kelly Rimmer's writing is so descriptive that it was very easy for me to become immersed in the story. Impossible to put down.

 

 

I Didn't Do It by Elle Gonzalez Rose

 

 

 

 I loved this exciting and suspenseful read with a jaw dropping twist that I never saw coming. The incorporation of police evidence into the story was a great way to foreshadow what would happen later on. This book will keep you on the edge of your seat from start to finish.

Wheel of Fate and Fury(Book two of The Wheel of Blood and Magic Series) by Grace Pevear

 

 

 I loved how Pevear expanded the world introduced in the first book while also upping the stakes. I enjoyed gaining new insight into Mathias and Alma and their relationship. I had a blast reading this story and I can't wait to read the final book in this exciting dark fantasy series!

Pretty Dead Things by Kelsey Cox

 

 

 

 I loved this book from start to finish. It was suspenseful, action-packed and full of shocking twists. I liked that it was told from multiple points of view. The characters were well fleshed out and complex instead of being one dimensional.

Buried Truth( A Jonny Mendez Thriller Book 3) by Andre Gonzalez

 

 

 

  It was delightful to catch up with Jonny. With each book, I love him even more. Great story, very suspenseful and action-packed! I hope to Andres in future books because he's a wonderful character.

The Neighbors Are Watching by Aggie Blum Thompson

 

 

 I loved this suspenseful and twist-filled domestic thriller. The two main characters were very sympathetic and I enjoyed following along with their investigation. The twists at the end of the book were surprising.  

The Girl on the Beach by Carol Snow

 

 

  I liked the plot, setting, and enjoyed the story overall. The low score is because I didn't realize the book was told from multiple points of view until the end. Each chapter was simply titled Before and After. It would have been helpful for characters names to be included beneath the chapter titles.

 

 

Beach Thriller by Jamie Day

 

 

I was drawn into this story from the moment I began reading it. I loved the characters, the setting, and the twists. This read was very suspenseful, action packed, and emotional. Another excellent book by Jamie Day.

  I loved this excellent Pinocchio retelling! The sci-fi and horror elements worked really well together. Their were many twists that I never saw coming. It was a fun read from start to finish.

Marion by Leah Rowan

 

 

  I loved this suspenseful thriller! It was fun to read a twist-filled retelling of a such a well known story. This book was so well written, engaging and impossible to put down.

The Dorians by Nick Cutter

 

 

 

  

 I loved this disturbing Sci-Fi thriller ! The author was very adept at creating an engaging and suspenseful story with an intricate plot. This was the second book that I have read by Nick Cutter and it won't be my last.

The Cove by Claire Rose

 

 

 

  I loved the creepy atmosphere throughout this book, the characters, and the setting. There were many twists and the story was engaging, suspenseful and very disturbing. It was fun to try to figure out what was going on. A great read that was impossible to put down.

Five by Ilona Bannister

 

 

 

 

  I loved this suspenseful and engaging read! The author excelled at delving into the minds of the five main characters along with developing their backstories. I really enjoyed getting to know each of them throughout the book. Very well done.

Rosie: Twisted Tales of Unfamiliar Faces by Russell Archey

 

 

 

 

 

 

 Since I was unfamiliar with the source material, I had no idea what to expect which was nice. This was a very visceral, disturbing, and gory read which I loved. It reminded me of short stories by Stephen King because it featured a rag-tag group of survivors pitted against some type of evil creatures and had excellent character development. I really enjoyed it!

These Familiar Walls by CJ Dotson

 

 

 

  This book was a wild ride! There were so many unexpected twists which made me see everything in a new light. Very creepy atmosphere throughout and well written. This book was impossible to put down. I can't wait to read more books by this author.

Into the Blue by Emma Brodie

 

 

 

  This love story was moving, wonderful and at times heartbreaking. Emma Brodie did a deep dive into the psyches of her two main characters, AJ and Noah. I loved seeing how they changed and matured throughout the years. This book was impossible to put down.

Killing Me Softly by Sandie Jones

 

 

 

 I loved this book! It was cleverly plotted, suspenseful and full of twists. I was really shocked by what happened in the second half of the book. Everything that I thought I knew was wrong. Fascinating characters. Very well done and impossible to put down.

Nothing Tastes As Good by Luke Dumas

 

 

 

 

 

 I loved this disturbing, captivating and intense read. Definitely not for the faint of heart. The gore was integral to the story and wasn't only used for shock value. I found Emmett, the main character, very likeable and felt a lot of sympathy for him. The juxtaposition of a weight loss drug trial with horror was a stroke of genius and worked very well. I really appreciated all of the news stories, blog posts, and interviews included in the book because it made story even more realistic. Very well done. 

 

You Did Nothing Wrong by CG Drews

 

 

I loved this creepy, suspenseful and visceral read. The author excelled at vivid description and taking the reader inside her character's psyches. There were many twists that I never saw coming. My loyalties constantly shifting between the two main characters. This book was brutal to read at times so it's definitely not for the faint of heart.

The Book of Guilt by Catherine Chidgey

 

I loved this engaging, heartbreaking and provocative work of speculative fiction! A cast of multifaceted and fascinating characters made we care about what happened to them. There were a lot of twists and turns throughout the later half of the book which I never saw coming.

In Time With You by Kristin Wyer

 

 

 

 

 I loved this moving and suspenseful YA romance! The traditions that Nieve and Linden observed with Grandee added a new and fascinating layer to the narrative. Kristin Dwyer expertly wove a complex story that kept me engaged from the start. I won't say anything more in order to avoid spoilers.

Evercurse: Twisted Tales of Familiar Faces by Kayla Frederick

 

 I loved this very dark horror retelling of Rumplestiltskin. The main character is unsympathetic which made the story more intriguing than the original. It was fun to have the stakes be so high. Not for the faint of heart and impossible to put down.

When I Kill You by B.A. Paris

 

 

 

 

 

I loved this suspenseful, action-packed read. I felt a lot of sympathy for the main character because of all that she'd been through. Whenever I thought I'd figured out what was going on, I was wrong. The ending was shocking, because I never saw it coming. Meticulously crafted and well executed, this book was impossible to put down.

 

 

 

 

 This story was engaging, harrowing, and at times very hard to read. Each chapter alternated between the points of view of a mother and her teenage son. It was very easy to care about the characters and feel sympathy for them. The author described everything in so much detail, that I felt like I was experiencing the situations right along with Peggy and her son Samson. This book was impossible to put down.

Nightmare on Nightmare Street by R.L. Stine

 

 

 

 Wow, this book was a really wild ride! This book reminded me of the Fear Street books I read growing up. I loved those books and I loved this one as well. To be honest, I was just as confused as the characters throughout the story. The ending was a very nice surprise because it explained everything. A book that'll keep you guessing right up to the end.

Night Terror: Bleak Haven #2 by Vincent Ralph

 

 

 

 

  I loved this action packed, and twist-filled read! It fun for it to be set in the 80s with a completely new cast of characters. The story was very atmospheric and suspenseful. I loved not knowing what was around the next corner and how everything would ultimately play out. I can't wait to read book 3 and beyond!

 

Dead Fake( Bleak Haven #1) by Vincent Ralph

 

 

 

 I loved this exciting, suspenseful and twist-filled book! The characters were interesting and the dark atmosphere throughout. The ending was really intense and surprising. I look forward to reading the next book in this fun series and I really love the hidden skull image on the cover!
