White Line Fever by KC Jones

This story was horrifying, action packed, and suspenseful. The imagery was very visceral while also containing an emotional core. Jones expertly delves into the psyches of her characters which made me care about their predicament. The twists were inventive and exciting! This book holds the reader in its icy grip and doesn't let go.

The Unlucky Ones: Black Harbor #4 by Hannah Morrissey

I really wanted to like this book. I was hoping that I would be able to get into it despite not having read the other books in the series. I liked the main characters and I enjoyed the setting. I found the story uninteresting so I couldn't get into it. It was well written.

Quixote: Twisted Tales of Familiar Faces by Stephen Wertzbaugher

I wasn't sure what to expect from this story as I haven't read the original book. I really enjoyed this creepy and tragic novel. It oozed atmosphere and was inventive. I wish there was a little more suspense as the ending was predictable.

Wish: Twisted Tales Of Familiar Faces by Courtney Konstantin

I loved every minute that I spent reading this masterful horror retelling of Aladdin! I found the characters sympathetic and I really enjoyed the modern setting. The evil and manipulative Djinn proved to be a powerful foe. This is one read that can't be missed!
